Move deals through pipeline stages

Last updated 10 Sept 2026

A pipeline is a sequence of stages a deal passes through.

Set up a pipeline

In Pipelines, create a pipeline and add stages in order — for example Qualified → Proposal Sent → Negotiation → Won / Lost. You can have more than one pipeline (e.g. New Business vs Renewals), each with its own stages. Each stage can have a colour.

Move a deal

Open Deals and change a deal's stage from its card — either from a dropdown, or by dragging it between columns in the pipeline view. The pipeline funnel shows how many deals (and how much value) sit in each stage.

Won and lost

  • Mark a deal Won when it closes.
  • Mark a deal Lost and pick a lost reason from your configured list — this is what feeds "why are we losing deals?" reporting.

Feeding the pipeline from forms

A form's CRM workflow step can create deals directly — pick Deal as the record type and set the pipeline and starting stage.
