Assignment rules decide who owns a lead the moment it's created — no manual triage.
How rules work
In Lead Assignment, add rules. Each rule has:
- a priority — rules are checked in order, and the first match wins
- conditions — field → operator → value rows (e.g. Country is India, Interested product is Enterprise). A rule with no conditions matches every lead — use it as a catch-all at the bottom.
- an action — assign to a specific user, or to a team (the team's members are rotated round-robin so the load is shared).
Example
- Priority 1 — Country is India → assign to the India team
- Priority 2 — Budget greater than 50000 → assign to the enterprise rep
- Priority 3 — no conditions → assign to the SDR team (catch-all)
Enabling and testing
Rules can be toggled on/off individually. Create a test lead that matches a rule and check who it lands on.
